Schuyler McFerran

First-ever ASP Women’s World Longboard Champion Schuyler McFerran new face of Sea Enzyme, an organic, enviro-friendly, CA-made line of skin care.

San Diego, CA -- With the introduction of Southern Californian Surfer Schuyler McFerran as the spokesperson and face of Sea Enzyme, the company hopes to teach active young women how to care for and protect their skin.

Because let’s face it, while the sun can be an epic gift, it can also be abusive and insulting (sort of like a bad boyfriend.) McFerran knows, the earlier we girls learn how to protect ourselves from the downside of the sun, wind and waves, the healthier we will be in the long run.

The irony of it all is that the very things we must protect our skin and hair from— the sun, the salt water — are the very things that create both good times and gorgeous ingredients. Kukui oil, aloe and a wealth of deep-sea enzymes are the basis for Sea Enzyme’s lush feel, moisturizing power and gentle cleansing abilities. The entire line is California-grown, ocean-fueled, and nature-made. End result? Life-loving good skin!

Sea Enzyme has created a well-rounded line that covers all the bases,

For the Face— Sea Enzyme Facial Cleanser which chases away the day’s devilish impurities and the 24-Hour Moisturizer with a light sun protection that is more than an essential, it’s a necessity; the Mega-Moisture Mist, which not only refreshes the body, face and hair but provides sun protection to all as well; and the Seaweed Gel Mask, which is ideal for burnt, sun-smacked skin.

For the Hair— Sea Enzyme Botanical Shampoo and Conditioner, which has been specifically formulated to put the moisture back into sun-ravaged hair, protect the color, treat the scalp and ensure a good hair day.

For the Body— Sea Enzyme Seaweed-Citrus Body Lotion and Hand Cream (both with sunscreen) to alleviate the beach girl’s nemesis, chalky white leg syndrome; a Citrus-Seaweed Shower Gel created to both cleanse and calm the skin; a Seaweed Peppermint Scrub to exfoliate the dried skin that comes with the territory; and a Peppermint Foot Cream that makes the little piggys wiggle with happiness.

And finally, what no girl should ever be without, a Sea Enzyme Ultra-Umbrella Broad Spectrum Sunscreen. This revolutionary sunscreen contains both physical blockers (zinc and titanium dioxide) and chemical blockers (Parsol 1789) so it truly protects a gal’s skin from damaging UV rays, even when that gal spends most of her waking hours in the water and on the beach. Plus, it blends in smooth and moisturizes to boot.

CA BOTANA, Sea Enzyme’s parent company, has been crafting natural skin care out of their San Diego facilities for over 25 years. For many years (even when it was not popular), they have taken an all-green approach to the manufacturing processes by combining different organic herbs in an alternative cold process, which has saved a tremendous amount of energy, and ingredients are domestically sourced whenever possible. All bottles and boxes utilized in the process are recycled and re-used – a truly green business … internally applied. This isn’t just business, it’s a way of life.

Traveling and surfing have brought the world into perspective says Schuyler McFerran and her goals and passions have been influenced by what she has learned. She’ll be talking about skin protection and handing out free Sea Enzyme products at the Billabong Surf Camp in San Diego on September 6 as well as other girl surf events this Summer.

To all of you, from all of us at Sea Enzyme - Enjoy Life!
